Venture Capital

Venture capital is provided to an up-and-coming startup company with long-term growth potential. It is usually provided by financial institutions like investment banks or well-to-do investors. Venture capital could be provided not only in a monetary form but also in a form of organizational or technical expertise.

For startup companies, venture capital is the way to obtain funding while they don’t have access to capital markets. A return on investment is usually equity ownership.
