1. Startup Iceland 2019

  • Description: Startup Iceland's agenda is to build an anti-fragile entrepreneurial ecosystem through best practice tools, resources and advice for Iceland. How do they build sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems? They are sure every country, city and town is asking this question given the devastation the financial crisis of 2008 has left on the world economies. History has shown that founders and entrepreneurs are builders and creators of valuable resources for their communities. Small entrepreneurial companies create more productive jobs than large companies, and productive jobs are the economic engine of every society. With that background they asked themselves, are there best practices, methods and learning strategies that they could apply in their community in Iceland?

2. Helsinki Startup Day 2019

  • Description: Helsinki Startup Day is in its second year and takes place at City Hall on 4th of June and is free of charge. All content is in English and free of charge for all attendees! Helsinki Startup Day will include keynotes, company pitches, workshops, ecosystem presentations and coordinated networking with a matchmaking application. Last year’s event attracted almost 1000 startup influencers. This year’s theme is New Nordics (Nordic and Baltic countries) and the importance of cooperation in the area, as well as Helsinki’s strengths as a hub for startups and tech industry, gathering key players from the Baltics and Nordics for one dynamic day. The focus is especially in health tech and gaming industry. This year, main target groups are scale-up companies, VCs and other investors alongside of startups and ecosystem operators.

3. Malmö Demo Day 2019

  • Description: The most exclusive matchmaking event between tech startups and investors in Southern Sweden. They are excited to invite you to Malmö Demo Day, showcasing the best startups in the region. Attendees will get a first look at some of the best companies in Southern Sweden, meet the founders and network with top investors and business angels. During the evening they will offer a three course meal together with investors, a few selected startups and some of the most influential people in the region. They are looking forward to seeing you!

  • Description: This half a day course teaches the core functionality of Neo4j, an open-source graph database. With a mixture of theory and hands-on practice sessions, developers will quickly and easily learn how to leverage the power of graph databases through Cypher, Neo4j's graph query language. The session covers querying graph patterns with Cypher, designing and implementing a graph database model, and evolving an existing graph to support new or changed requirements.
