*ship Startup Festival supports the next generation of entrepreneurs! They are a startup event that consists of a mentor program and the Pitch Captain pitching competition. Annually *ship brings together 50 startup teams to compete for the 5000€ main prize!
If you have some idea and want to talk business with them, you are more than welcome to join. They believe that there is no bad ideas and all ideas might have a potential and even if a particular idea does not work it still can lead you to another idea that might work. They are more than happy to discuss, help and guide you in the process of business creation. Interested people in E-commerce and dropshipment are especially welcome. Often, organisations and members of the Dev and Ops teams have automated the build & test but still, need to deploy manually and often out of hours. Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy go together like cheese and crackers and are easily integrated and can be used to deploy to Azure IaaS & PaaS and also on-Premise. In this session, Derek will take you through how to integrate Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy using the extension. He will then configure an Azure pipeline and lastly pass this through to Octopus Deploy which will then deploy to Azure from a single build and test all the way to Production.
Everybody knows the children’s book series “Where is Waldo?” and how hard it can be to find this guy in his red-and-white-striped shirt, bobble hat and glasses. The same problem applies to finding memory leaks in Oracle. This will be an interactive talk and with help of the audience they will work out and demonstrate a systematic troubleshooting approach for finding memory leaks in Oracle. Together they will analyze and drill-down a memory leak bug in Oracle’s core/kernel code with help of a very simple and pretty common application case. Be prepared to find Waldo aka. the memory leak! FYI - here is already a personal message from Waldo: In the end it will get very geeky as usual :-)
